TOBIAS HONEY
Tobias is currently responsible for the concept design and delivery of OmtoArchitects most exciting and prestigious master planning, retail and mixed-use developments in the region. Tobias has a post-graduate and RIBA accredited degree/diploma from the University of the West England (Bristol) in Architecture and Urban Planning. He has over 10 years of retail, residential, hospitality and mixed-use design experience, through his tenure at respected global architectural firms such as RTKL and BDP, VX Studio plus at the UAE’s largest developer, Emaar
At OmtoArchitects, Tobias leads a number of talented architects and engineers to produce world-class developments which meet the needs of the present whilst also ensuring their relevance and success in the future.
Tobias specializes in the conceptual design phase of projects, but through his keen interest for materiality and detailing, is also responsible for the final execution of projects onto site.
His drive for knowledge of the latest industry trends is vital to keep OmtoArchitects designs fresh and relevant. Tobias’s passion for all spectrums of design, from interiors, landscaping, lighting and product design helps develop a more enriching connection between people and the spaces they inhabit. The humans scale and end-user focused experience is what he is most concerned about, whilst ensuring that an impressive ROI for developers is also achieved.

OMAR DARKAZANLI
Omar spearheads the Engineering and Construction management of OmtoArchitects developments in the region. Omar graduated with a bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from McMaster University.
His experience stretches across the board with retail, commercial, industrial, Oil & Gas and mixed-use Construction Management and Execution.
This knowledge has been acquired through his time at North American construction giants such as Aecon, Kiewit and Graham. His experience is topped off by a thriving and deep-rooted family business in the MENA region. Omar is also currently the Director of Westcon, a Saudi based construction firm. At Omto, Omar leads a number of talented architects and engineers to execute and manage world-class developments which meets the needs of the client in terms on Time, Cost and Quality. Omar specializes in the Engineering and Construction phases of projects.
Clients are greatly benefited from his ability to propose and execute Value Engineering options and, also, engage in project material and equipment selection. The coordination and synergy of correct material and equipment selection throughout the project life cycle is a key to his success. Omar’s passion for real estate development enables him to capitalize on given budgets and moreover be selective on whom to be involved in the project. His excellent construction management skills coupled with his Contracting background and market knowledge are fundamental to the continued success of the firm.
